Rachel Reid
OWNER / SENIOR STYLIST
Rachel started her hairdressing journey over 20 years ago. After finishing her apprenticeship in Hamilton, Rachel then headed off overseas to pursue her love of travel. While working in top salons in London she became accustomed to the styling of many a celebrities hair. After London she worked in Vancouver, and lastly at world renowned Tony & Guy in Sydney.
Returning home in 2003, Rachel wasted no time in putting her expertise to good use by starting her own salon in the beautiful Raglan, the town she now calls home.
Rach's love and passion for hairdressing, and people, helps her to create the best style to complement their individual needs.
Eva Rich
SENIOR STYLIST
Eva began hairdressing in 2002 completing her training at Newberry School of Beauty in Los Angeles, CA in 2003. Eva than went on to gain a deeper understanding of hairstyling as an apprentice at the reputable Cleo's hair salon in Malibu,CA working under many esteemed stylists. From 2006-2009 Eva worked at Elevations Hair Salon in Portland, OR mastering the craft of styling and developing a loyal clientele.
Eva has been working as a stylist in Raglan since 2009 and loves working in the community with the wonderful people of Raglan. When Eva is not studying or working she is down the beach surfing or getting sandy with her 2 dogs.
Charlotte
SENIOR STYLIST
Charlotte recently moved to Raglan from Matakana/ Leigh. She has been in NZ for 5 years, starting her journey in Golden Bay as a horse trek guide and then working on different farms and lifestyle blocks, and most recently as a bush school teacher and children's art workshop facilitator.
Charlotte loves being outdoors and in nature as well as salon life and making people look and feel great!
She has been a hairdresser for 15 years. Previously working in a small boutique salon in Warkworth and prior to that in her hometown Worcester at a salon called Wicked Hair. Where she was mentored by Hans Peter Wurmil - a local hairdressing legend. Charlotte also travelled and worked as a stylist in Australia and in parts of Asia.
She specialises in balayage and personalised colouring and also enjoys cutting . Charlotte will be offering wedding hair at Tonic and looks forward to creating beautiful hair ups for brides and their wedding party - she loves the atmosphere that a special occasion brings to the salon.

Annick Faubert
SENIOR STYLIST
Annick trained in Montreal. After visiting friends here in New Zealand for about 16 years, Annick finally decided to make the move permanent, joining Tonic in 2010.
Annick is naturally, a very talented artist. Whether you want to challenge a new hairstyle or maintain your current look - Annick will listen to your needs and create what look is right for you.
In her spare time she loves to go fishing and also does taxidermy creating unique art pieces as she hates to see deceased animals go to waste given their beauty.
If you have your special day coming up and would like your hair styled or put up for
the occasion, we have Charlotte that can look after you and your bridal party.
Charlotte has many years of experience and ishappy to travel to your location.

Who we are...
Tonic is a small boutique salon in the beautiful coastal town of Raglan. We are situated off the main street in a very private relaxed setting.
Our aim is to provide a calm environment for you to come and feel pampered, then to leave feeling and looking refreshed and fabulous.
We serve fresh Morning Glory organic coffee and have a selection of teas.
Feel free to tell us what kind of Hair cut, Colour or Styling you want or ask us for our professional advise. We have the skills and experience to handle all different types of hair.

Our colours are made by an Aussie company called Evo. They believe in creating honest products that respect people and the planet. They left the bad stuff out and put the good stuff in because that's the right thing to do but it doesn't compromise on preformance.
It is ammonia, ppd & resorcinal free, allergen & fragrance free & not tested on animals.
We retail Davroe & Davines's Haircare products to help maintain your hair at home.
